The family and friends of Joseph Shaw Coté are saddened to announce his passing after a heroic battle against cancer. He was 53.

Shaw was a source of light and positivity, always there to lend a helping hand or a listening ear. His unwavering support and trustworthiness made him an exceptional friend to all who knew him. In the face of adversity, Shaw radiated peace and brought comfort to those around him.

Memorial

To commemorate the life of our dear friend, Shaw’s legacy will be forever remembered through an engraved hardscape feature at the National AIDS Memorial Grove in San Francisco’s Golden Gate Park, a place he cherished deeply and where each of us will be able to visit.
